We built the thing
we wished existed.

Every founder who has tried to do support solo knows the feeling: messages piling up, customers waiting, sleep getting shorter. We have been there.

A customer message at 2am
shouldn't cost you a
night's sleep.

Why we started ReplyBay

It started the way most good things do: with a problem we kept running into ourselves. We watched small e-commerce merchants, people pouring everything into a brand they loved, slowly drowning in the one thing nobody warns you about. The messages. Where is my order. Can I change the size. Did you get my email. Hundreds of them, every day, on Gmail and WhatsApp and Instagram and TikTok Shop, each one a small promise waiting to be kept.

Then something shifted. The tools got good enough that AI could actually read a thread, understand a returns policy, and draft a reply that sounded like a real person. Your person. Not a robotic ticket macro, but the warm, specific way you already talk to your customers. That was the moment. If a draft could carry your voice, a founder could finally close the laptop without the inbox following them to bed.

So we decided to build it properly. Core infrastructure in the EU, because your data shouldn't take a holiday somewhere you can't see it. Privacy first, because your customers' words are not there to train anyone's model. And review first: inbox replies wait for your review until you switch auto-send on, and then only the replies that meet your rules go out. Public comments are answered and moderated automatically by default, and you can switch them to review. When a customer is upset, or a message is risky or unclear, it brings the message home to you.

Every merchant deserves
support that comes home.

A bay is where the open sea goes quiet. Professional support has always been a privilege of scale, the kind of thing you bought once you could afford a team. We are here to undo that. To put a calm, capable, on-brand support desk within reach of the solo founder and the five-person crew, without anyone having to hire, train, or stay up until 2am to keep the promise.

The lines we never cross.

01

Voice first

Drafts follow your tone settings and the way your team already answers, learned from resolved conversations in your own workspace. Your tone, your phrasing, your way of saying sorry, ready for you to review.

02

Privacy by design

The core service and its data live in the EU. The AI and other providers that process data elsewhere are named in our privacy policy. ReplyBay does not train AI models on your customers' words. They said them to you, not to anyone else.

03

You stay in control

Inbox replies wait for review by default. When you enable auto-send, only replies that meet your confidence and intent rules go out; the rest are held or escalated, and an upset customer comes straight to you. Public comment replies run automatically by default and can be switched to review.

04

Built to last

No VC pressure. No growth-at-all-costs. No dark patterns to juice a metric. Just a good product, built patiently, for people who plan to be here next year.

Built by someone who has worked the inbox.

Founder & product engineer

Jesse is a Dutch e-commerce founder and operator who has built online brands and the support operations behind them. He started ReplyBay after seeing how quickly customer messages consume the time of small teams, even when most questions have a clear answer.

He leads the product and engineering work, with a focus on practical automation that merchants can inspect, control, and switch off whenever a conversation needs a person.
