Facebook page comments

Facebook page comments, handled under one policy.

Connect your page once. Every comment is read for sentiment and scored: questions get a public answer after your reply delay, fans get a like, abuse is hidden or held, and real complaints go to a person.

A Facebook page connection in action

One Messenger question and one page comment, both answered from the same page connection. Illustration with example scores.

Workflow

From comment to decision

  1. Connect the page

Use the same Facebook page connection as Messenger and switch on comment monitoring in one click.

  2. Every comment is scored

Positive, neutral or negative, with a confidence score. The score is what your policy checks, so nothing acts on a guess.

  3. The policy decides who acts

Above your thresholds, and only with comment automation on, the move runs by itself: hide, like, reply, or like and reply. Everything else waits in the review queue.

  4. Complaints reach a person

A customer with a real problem is not answered with a public one-liner. The comment escalates with the post and context attached.

Examples

Four comments on one page post

  • Message: do you ship to Belgium?

    What ReplyBay does: Public reply

A question with a clear answer in your shipping policy. Posted as a public reply after your delay, where the next shopper reads it too.

  • Message: best linen I have ever bought

Clearly positive and above your like threshold, so your page likes it.

  • Message: scam shop, avoid

    What ReplyBay does: Hidden

Abusive. Hidden at once, or held for you if you chose Review first. On Facebook a hidden comment stays visible to the person who wrote it.

  • Message: still waiting for my refund after three weeks

What ReplyBay does: Escalated to a person

A refund complaint. No public one-liner: it escalates to a person with the post attached.

Illustrative messages. Automatic actions run only after you switch automation on and a reply clears your confidence threshold; until then each one waits for you as a draft.

Questions

Can a Facebook comment trigger a private message?

Not today. Keyword comment-to-DM rules and private replies from the Comments view run on Instagram only. On Facebook, ReplyBay moderates and answers in public, and a customer who writes to the page in Messenger is answered there.

Does the policy differ between Facebook and Instagram?

No. Reply delay, minimum reply confidence, liking and abusive-comment handling are workspace settings that apply to every connected comment channel. Likes only run on Facebook, because Instagram does not let apps like comments.

What if I do not want anything to happen on its own?

Leave comment automation off. Comments are still read and suggestions still appear in the review queue, but nothing is hidden, liked or posted without you.

Can I handle one post differently?

Yes. Per post, public replies can be automatic, draft only or off. That override never loosens hiding, confidence thresholds or the escalation of negative comments.

Put your page comments on a policy.

Connect your Facebook page, set your thresholds, and watch the review queue for a week before you let it run.
